A Ray of Hope !!!

Hi everyone........................

Life is tough as we all know...We all face highs and lows....But no matter what we should never lose hope....As it is hope and faith that keeps us going....

I'd like to share an incident of my life which has turned me into an optimist..No matter what situation I am in now, good or bad, I always feel God must have something good planned that is why this has happened to me....I'd like to thank housing.com for giving us such a lovely topic to write about.


I love animals and always try to contribute towards their welfare...I used to volunteer at an animal shelter....One day another volunteer brought a badly injured dog to the shelter...He had been hit by a car and left on the road to suffer and die...

He was afraid of everyone and would not let anyone come close to him. We had to use anesthesia so that the doctor could operate on him and bandage his wounds.After he woke up he would not eat anything and was very aggressive.

I felt extremely pained at seeing the poor emaciated dog who had felt no love in his life and was extremely afraid of humans.He must have gone through a hell lot of pain and suffering in his life. I took it upon myself to help him out....

Everyday I would sit near to where he was kept for atleast half an hour at such a distance that he would not feel threatened by my presence. Initially he did not like my presence at all and would never touch his food when I was around. In a month his wounds had healed completely and he had started eating well.. Even if I was around he would eat. I slowly started moving closer and talking to him. In some time he actually started letting me pet him and his fear of humans stared fading. 

It was a week after that he came and sat on my lap and licked my face. That is a day I will never forget in my life. From a scared weak dog our sweet dog had turned to being friendly and happy. That day I truly started believing that with a little love and hope there is nothing in the world that cannot be achieved. That day filled me with optimism and now I believe that small acts of love and kindness are all that is needed to make this world a better place to live in. I will always continue to do my part to make this world a better and happier place to live in, I hope that you all join in on this... :)

Now, our little bundle of happiness has been adopted by a loving family and is called by the name Hope..... :)

How a Push of Confidence Made Me Fly.....

Hi everyone.......

Today I want to talk to you all about something quite personal...I want to share with you my journey from being a person with very low confidence & self esteem into a strong confident woman.

From the very start of my life I have been quite shy and had self esteem issues. I was someone who just couldn't do anything by myself. I always needed someone to be there, to guide me. My elder brother has always been my pillar of strength, the man who provided me with that support and guidance.

I liked acting very much. I would stand infront of the mirror and act out parts I had seen on TV for hours...But a person like me could never succeed in such a domain. I never took part in plays at school or was part of any cultural group as I had stage fright and was terrible at socializing with people.

My brother understood my problem and came to my help. He always encouraged me to take part in events and group activities. I was very hesitant at first and just could not speak my mind. People made fun of me and laughed at me making me even more sad and introvert. It was at this point my brother started coming with me at these events. With him around I felt relaxed and a bit confident. I wasn't someone to start up conversations but If someone started one I could carry it on for hours... :)

In a few months I had made some very nice friends and without me knowing it, I actually started enjoying group events and became quite vocal.

My brother suggested me to join the acting group of my collage....As he was someone whose advice I always relied on, so I joined the group.....My first stage performance was nothing short of a nightmare..Seeing so many people sitting in front of me waiting for me to say or do something....Then I saw my brother sitting in the very first row..... A sense of confidence just flooded me and I acted out the part given to me with ease....I got many compliments for my performance and from that day onwards there was no looking back...

With persuasion from my brother my dad allowed me to take a course in acting from a very reputed college.I now actively take part in theater and stage performances and am living my dream.... :)

Today I would like to take this chance to thank him for all that he has done for me...If not for him I would have never come out of my shell and would never have been able to realize my dreams....

How I Got a Better Car with Quikr NXT!!!

Looking for a new car is quite a big task especially with so many new models in the market. Go down to any showroom and the sales guy just loads you down with details of specifications and mileage.... They show you like a hundred cars and when you don't buy any of them at that exact moment they give you looks as if you wasted so much of their precious time. Also, its a big time waster for us too...

So I turned to the internet for help and found an easy way out.....Keep reading to see what came to my rescue.... :)

It was Quikr....Quikr is like a dream come true for all people who want to sell their old things or buy stuff....But as with anything online selling/buying comes with its own set of plus points and drawbacks.

The main things which I was worried about were:

• Pesky/untimely calls: You have to call up multiple people whose advertisements you like. In turn your phone number goes out to each of these people.You can never be sure if the people are genuine or not. Your number might just get circulated and you will end up with annoying call. Also, you asked for some information and the seller calls you back at an inconvenient time..That would really be a problem.....

•  No Clarity: From phone calls you can just get the details the seller wants to provide you with. You might end up with a raw deal as after buying the thing when you actually receive it you might find it not to be what you really had in mind. Also, via calls the seller might say stuff that he/she later back tracks on.

Well, Quikr must have understood all these problems that is why it has come up with a very innovative solution to address all these issues. It came up with Quikr NXT

Quikr NXT allows buyers and sellers to connect with each other though its chat facility. Now, you can chat up with the seller via your mobile or the desktop, get all additional information and pictures that you need and you don't have to put up with any crazy calls.... :D

So, I just went to their site and selected the Cars section...And there you have it..I found a host of amazing vehicles available and the best part was there were no creepy sales guys !!! :D

You can click on the large number on advertisements people have put up..And along with the picture of the car they want to sell off are all the details that you will be needing along with the contact details of the seller.I shortlisted a few which I liked and then chatted with the sellers to get additional pictures of the car. After 2-3 days of proper conversations I finalized a car....It was so quick and hassle free..We arranged for the car to be picked up from a point and there I was driving my new awesome car....I was loving the feel.... :D

UDV deodorant Pour Elle - A smell so divine !!!

Hey girls !!!

Today I will be reviewing one of my  favorite deodorants..... UDV's Pour Elle........

Cost: Rs.199 for 125 ml.

Shelf Life: 5 years

Ingredient List: 

My Experience: This deodorant is one of my all time favorites.... I simply love its sweet and light fragrance.The packaging is also very cute.It comes in a cute pink spray bottle.The cap is nicely fitted hence making it travel friendly. The only problem I find is the availability.It's perfume variant is available online everywhere but I find it difficult to get my hands on this baby....I have tried it's perfume variant too but found that to be a bit strong...Will be reviewing that soon.... :D

Pros:
1. Amazing smell
2. Travel Friendly
3. Cute packaging
4. Alcohol based

Cons: 
1. Limited availability.

My Rating: 5/5.....Yupz...I love it that  much..... :D

Will I repurchase it: A big YES!!! Over and over.........I'm never gonna be bored of this fragrance.... :)

Overall, this amazing fragrance by UDV (Ulric De Varens) is a big winner for me and I would recommend you all to give this a try... :)

Living Your Dreams - Befikar Umar Bhar

Each and everyone of us have dreams & aspirations and we all strive towards fulfilling them...We all want to live our lives to the fullest and enjoy each and every moment...

But, we live in a world where we have to constantly think and plan our future...We cant just go around spending like crazy on our joys of today and not have anything left for tomorrow.

Imagine a life where we had no constraints, did not have to save for a secure future, nothing at all to hold us back....What an awesome thought that is.... :D

 Well, if I had a chance to live life king size with no constraints then these are the things I would do....

1. Go to Egypt: The land of sand, mummies and pyramids has always left me fascinated...I enjoy
watching television programs where the mysterious pyramids are explored and it has always been  my dream to go and explore them myself. The ancient stories and their culture is quite unique and intriguing. A family trip to the mystical land of Egypt tops my to do list.

2. Get myself a Fancy Car: I love gong on long drives and if I were the one driving and that too in my own car...That would just be a dream come true...I drool over the fancy sports cars I see at auto expos or in advertisements and really want to get myself one. But, whenever I express my desire to buy such a thing I am told that we should buy something suitable for the entire family as we cannot afford multiple cars and that we have to save up for future investments...So if saving up wasn't something I had to think about than a fancy red sports car would be on my wish list.

3. Go Airplane Jumping: I have a thing for adventure sports and airplane jumping is something I really want to do. The thrill of flying in the air like a bird is something out of the world..It would surely be a lifetime experience. Imagine floating in the air and seeing everything from birds eye view....Just imaging it gives me a thrill....This would be the third thing in my bucket list.. :)

4. Buy a Large Screen 3D TV: Watching TV is cool the normal way but it would be all together an amazing experience to watch 3D movies at home....I had once tried out such a television in a showroom and I fell in love with it since then..I would rush and buy myself an awesome 3D TV if I had no worries of saving up for the future....

5. Buy myself a crazy amount of shoes: A girl can never have enough of shoes....We need them in all different colors....and then soo many different styles are available like high heels, flats, peep toes...whenever a new style is launched we must have that...Its just a girl thing....One can never have enough shoes... ;) :D



So, isn't the very thought of a constraint free life amazing!!! Well you can actually make this happen... My True Love - Asus Zenfone

In this crazy tech savy world it is extremely important to have a multi purpose phone that is excellent in each and every feature.

I was on the look out for such a phone for quite sometime...I searched multiple sites showcasing the features of newly launched phones or comparing specifications....

My search ended when I stumbled upon this gem while surfing through flipkart...

Yes, you guessed it right ...This baby is the much hyped about "Zenfone 5"........... :D

Firstly, ill have to say Flipkart never fails to impress me in terms of delivery time.The phone reached me within three days of ordering it.

With Valentine's Day round the corner, everyone is frantically searching for the one gift that will make their loved one feel truly special and make this a memorable Valentine's and if you are single like me then you will be on the look out for amazing gifts to pamper yourself as we too need to feel loved....This is why I found this time to be ideal to introduce you to this amazing device which will surely brighten up your Valentine's Day.....

    first had to go around deleting stuff as I never had free space. This phone not only has an incredible
    2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, it also has expandable memory upto 64 GB..Phew.....That    
    is really lots of space.......

5. Colors: This phone is available in soo many colors.....Black, White, Red, Purple, Gold...You name
    the color...Asus has it for you... :D
    So if you are planning to get this for your girlfriend go ask her favorite color as you have lots
    and lots of colors to chose from... :)

Other than all this...the battery life of this phone is pretty amazing and as it has a 1.6GHz  dual-core processor so you will never face lagging while surfing or playing games......

Now, isn't all that enough to convince you that this is the ultimate gift one can give on Valentine's.......  

As for me, Asus Zenfone 5 in black was the gift I bought for myself this Valentine's day and it has truly been an amazing experience...I could not have gifted myself anything better...I soo love myself... :D  ;)
